One of the most exciting aspects of the S.Pellegrino® Almost Famous® Chef competition, now in its ninth year, is the commitment to finding and mentoring outstanding student chefs from the top culinary schools. Competitors have unparalleled access to some of the world’s most renowned chefs, providing an unprecedented opportunity to learn from the best.

In addition, the winner of the competition receives a year-long paid apprenticeship with a participating judge as part of his or her grand prize. The 2010 title went to Luis Young, a student at Johnson & Wales University – North Miami. His award-winning signature recipe was Herb Scented Seared Venison Tenderloin.
