The sad truth is, as soon as the mercury heads downwards we often write-off our beloved porches and patios until spring. But, with a little creativity, there’s no reason your covered patio can’t be a part of your entertaining plans virtually year round:
- Rearrange your furniture around one of those wrought iron fire pits.
- If that doesn't add enough warmth, add one of those gas-powered, outdoor space heaters.
- Metal furniture can be uncomfortable in the cold. But a wooden Adirondack chair with a nice wool throw is a perfect perch.
One way to really give you the feeling of “getting away” for a long weekend is to make the journey part of the fun:
• Park the car, steer clear of the overcrowded airports and travel the old fashioned way; by train!
• Amtrak and other train routes still crisscross the U.S. and Canada, often traveling through some of the most scenic terrain in North America.
In 1932, S.Pellegrino introduced Aranciata, a sparkling fruit beverage that is still enjoyed around the world today.
